Characters

A thing can have different words.

This article contains terms that are subjective and user-defined. None of the terms has been considered used officially by the creators, although some are confirmed in social channels.

Characters are a kind of movable objects in Toca Life World.

Types[]

There are two types of characters existing in the game, namely Pre-made and those created from the Character Creator, which its features can be customized by users. which are included in locations and characters customized from the Character Creator. When moving the another location, characters can be accessed through the Characters Tab.

According to the How to play section of the Parent-only feature found in the game, characters can:

Be moved to act out situations
Change their clothing by dragging outfits and wearable objects such as hats and masks onto them
Hold objects by dragging it to either hands. The characters will hold the objects even when they're moved to another location.

How to eat[]

Tap on the food or any edible item then drag it on the character’s mouth. This gives a unique reaction to the character automatically.

How to drink[]

Tap on a drink, the drag it on the character’s mouth and hold it carefully until the character makes a sipping sound. This also gives a unique reaction to the character automatically.

How to make them sit[]

To make characters sit, drag them onto a chair, couch, wheelchair or similar items. This will make them automatically sit.

How to make them sleep[]

To make the characters sleep, drag them onto a bed or similar items. This will make them automatically sleep.

Depending on the perspective of the beds, characters sleep in different positions. Characters sleep on their backs on beds designed in frontal view, while characters sleep on their sides on beds in side view.

How to make them swim[]

Drag characters toward a body of water, usually lakes, seas, aquariums and swimming pools. This will automatically make a light splash and float in the waters.

Once the characters are in the waters, dragging them left or right will make them lean left or right and make some splashes.

Named Characters[]

In Toca Life World, many of the characters don't have names, leaving players to names them. A small portion of characters have names that can be found in Toca Life MIX. Certain characters (Rita, Silly Burger, Sloth, etc.) are signature characters of Toca Boca, and recognized in merchandise outside the game, particularly Toca Life: Box.
