"Transform your place into Y2K Style!" ― Y2K Loft
Overview[]
Y2K Loft is the 16th Home Designer Pack and was released on April 16, 2024.[1] It contains 55 pieces of furniture, 39 decorations, six wall designs and four floor patterns.
Theme[]
The home designer pack was loosely inspired by the Neo-Y2K movement and incorporates subcultures including Cybercore, Cheiron Crush and Synthwave. The pack feature sci-fi and neon motifs, discs. Palettes include soft rainbow, pastels of cool colors and iridescence. Furniture are often round, bubble-like and transparent and pastel in color, which some of them transitions to other soft palettes otherwise iridescent. Decorations include plastic or metallic 3D figurines, mundane objects recreated for a different function (e.g. a purple ketchup bottle as hair dye), surrealist objects (Venus flytrap with googly eyes) machines (e.g. Super Quest) and ceiling decorations. Recipes include Pop Tarts. The pack includes a trace of other branches of aesthetics such as solarpunk, featuring plants encapsulated into geodesic domes otherwise inside the house and terrariums; Chromecore for metal-like objects and glowwave for the emphasis of neon lights under a dark, purplish atmosphere. The Y2K Loft shares similarities to the My Room Furniture Pack, the Neon Rainbow Apartment and the Bestie Behavior Furniture Pack Neat Street Apartment referencing motifs of flowers, cow fur and colorful patterns.
The pack might be inspired from in-game influences specifically Ella Boa.[2]

Exterior[]
In Map View, the house features a two-storey open roof. The house moves to the rhythm to the in-game music just like other Home Designer houses.
Structure[]
The house of the Y2K Loft features a open roof, two-story structure. The first story features a walled shrub round the front side of the house and a sheltered passageway. The second floor features a porch walled by glass projecting out of the story. Both storey feature large windows tinted with soft pastels on the exterior and a high ceiling in its interior, which is not shown in the in-house Home Designer. The loft possess an roofless which allows to house a circle of tree and shrubs within the center of the house. One the edge at the back of the house is a series of three solar panels.
Architecture[]
The architecture of the house emphasizes high-tech design, including transparent, glassy textures along with soft and frosted shade, exposed structures, lack of internal walls and functional spacing. The house also carries traces of Art Deco, holding round, box-like motifs in the windows and the structure of the house.

Furniture and Decorations in the Y2K Loft
Furniture and Decorations[]
The home designer pack consists of 55 pieces of furniture and 39 decorations which total up 94 pieces.
The furniture features transparent, bubble-like themes for table, chairs and couches. Lighting consists of different types: the first consists of a series of hanging abstract shapes, discs, spheres and terrariums; the second a series of fairy lights consisting of butterfly and skull shapes; the third consist of neon signages and the last consists of lava lamps. Others feature gradient-like furniture such as shower handles. toilets, trash bins and shelves. The furniture includes solid colors of lime green and deep purple for upholstery, throw pillows and kitchen counters. One of the furniture includes a small compartment including a colorful DJ set and an illuminated dance floor for crumpets.
For the decorations, it consist of bright, colorful artifacts including figurines, posters, technology, desk decorations and tropical plants. Food include sugary, colorful snacks and drinks.
Post Office Gift[]
Notebook Journal[]

On April 12, 2024, one gift is available to be claimed at the Post Office. It is a Y2K-themed notebook journal with multiple color tabs. The journal can be opened and closed by simply tapping.

When the journal is closed which is shown in its initial state when opened, the cover of the journal is a purple hardbound with soft-rainbow colored starbursts with white outlines. Yellow and magenta tabs hung on the pages. The tab clasps in around the edges of the notebook to secure. When the journal is opened, the spiral in the middles connects both pages opened. There were more tabs around the "wings" of the notebook, two each. Two of the flaps which were connected by the spiral has pastel-colored text and illustrations. The tab tugging in the notebook was unfastened.
